Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can find the Frequently Asked Questions we encounter that we think would be useful for you.
If you did not find the information you were looking for in other parts of the site, you will probably find them here.

General / Account

Is it Free?

Yes it is!

Is it Free because it's a trial?

No, the full-featured account you get is free and it is NOT a trial. It will continue to be free later in the future.

What's the deal then?

Nothing, we simply would like you to enjoy, use, and promote our product! Charging our users is not our business model. We do highly encourage uploading high quality works (not just high quality photos) and inviting other people with very strong creative material.

Content(s)

How many albums can I create?

Unlimited.

How many hard disk storage am I allowed to use?

Unlimited. Yup.

Who owns the images or any content I upload in your server?

You. We do not claim ownership of any works you upload in our server. With that, this also implies that you are responsible for all the contents you upload.

Who is responsible and/or liable if I find a photo that I do not like/approve/find offensive or disturbing, etc?

While Fourthdraft does its best to ensure the safety, decency, and appropriateness of the creative works of our users for our users and the public, we are not responsible for the above scenarios. Users are responsible for the content they upload.

Are there any quality degradation in the images I upload?

No. Your work may be manipulated (e.g.: shrunk to wrap the display of the device you are using) but we do not code it to decrease quality to improve performance.

Is there a backup of all the high quality, full resolution images I uploaded?

Yes. At the time though of writing there is no mechanism for you to access nor download those original images. This feature will be added later on.

Portfolio

Why can I create another album when I am already inside an album? Why does it ask me which album I want to create an album inside?

Think of an album as a folder (like your documents on your computer). An album inside another album is considered a sub-album. We recommend not going too sub-album-happy and keeping it to a maximum of three levels of albums (i.e.: 1. Main Portfolio, 2. Main Album, 3. Sub-album inside that Main Album).

How can I see what my portfolio looks like?

In your admin main page, click “Portfolio” then “View Portfolio” in the main navigation (the big black bar that you can't miss). The page it brings you to is what the public sees.
Alternatively, you can go directly to your portfolio from anywhere by typing in the URL for your portfolio: add your username to the end of “http://fourthdraft.com/”. An example would be http://fourthdraft.com/your-username

What's the deal then?

Resume

I just edited my Experience/Skills/Education. Why are the changes not showing when I view my portfolio?

Did you remember to click save? Even after submitting additions to your Experience, Skills, or Education, you must click the green “Save” button in order for the changes to take effect on your live portfolio. When you do successfully save your changes, the black header bar will flash green.

Support

How long do you usually take to respond?

We try to respond right away within 24 hours of receiving your message. Do note that this only talks about responding and communicating with you about problems and resolutions. This does not include nor guarantee resolution within 24 hours.
